Single interface

VXG will connect all your cameras into one system with a single interface to manage cameras, watch live and recorded videos, process videos, and interface data with other systems.

Connecting cameras

VXG connects cameras in a variety of ways. Cameras can be connected directly to the Cloud or through an on-prem server called Cloud NVR (Network Video Recorder) or Cloud Gateway.

There are 3 main types of connection:

  1. Firmware plug-in connection.

A camera with a VXG IP Camera Plug-in connects automatically directly to the Cloud making the camera plug-and-play.

2. Bridged connection

A camera is connected to an on-prem VXG Cloud NVR/Gateway using ONVIF/RTSP protocol and the Cloud NVR/Gateway connects automatically to the Cloud.

3. Direct ONVIF connection.

The Cloud uses a camera’s public or VPN IP address to connect over the ONVIF/RTSP protocol.

Recording

VXG supports 3 types of storage:

  1. Cloud storage.

  2. On-prem Cloud NVR.

  3. Camera SD card.

Regardless of the recording type, recorded video can be watched and managed through a single interface.

Processing

VXG pre-processes video and interfaces it with a variety of Video Analytics (VA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) engines.
