Storage configuration

VXG Server works with any S3 compatible storage. It can be local storage on the same computer, a Network Attached Storage (NAS), or Cloud storage. VXG Server has 3 options in the Storage section of the Settings tab:

  • local S3 storage

  • AWS S3 storage

  • any S3 compatible storage

Using a local hard drive

VXG Server a pre-configured S3 compatible local storage. Recording to local storage doesn't require any additional configuration. All you need is to select Local S3 Storage.

Using AWS S3 storage

You'll need to provide the following information:

  1. Bucket region

  2. Access ID

  3. Secret key

  4. Bucket name for media

  5. Bucket name for logs

Using any S3 compatible storage

It's the same as AWS except here you'll need to provide an HTTP URL of the S3 compatible storage.

  1. HTTP URL of S3 storage.

  2. Access ID

  3. Secret key

  4. Bucket name for media

  5. Bucket name for logs
